inappropriate skirt..let's do this

 Hold everything, my pup needs some kisses.

So I thought I would share how I wore this mildly inappropriate skirt to work the other day. It's just a piece of jersey and it reminds of the skirts that I see girls wearing or not really wearing on Saturday nights downtown...but I think I managed to make it a bit more professional. Well I hope so anyways. Add tights, a longer jacket (obsessed with the leather sleeves on this baby), a mildly ugly scarf (keeping hair tucked obviously) and the most adorable granny knit sweater and you're in the clear! Hint: granny knit sweaters can let you get away with anything.

The White Blazer

While having a recent conversation with my friend Kate I expressed that I had no idea how to wear this amazing white tuxedo style blazer from Zara. It's been sitting in my closet for two months with the tag still on giving me that "I'm  too fancy to wear today, move along look". I hate when my cloths sass me in the morning. But once Kate told me how much she loves her white blazer and manages to pull it off at work it inspired me to start thinking about ways to wear it for day and night.

Tonight I played model for a fur event downtown. My girlfriends came, my best friend was working it and we played dress up in a room full of fur. Highlight of the night was wearing a jacket costing $86,500!!! And then casually taking it off once women and their wine got too close for comfort. Nighty night.

Tonight my best friend Emily and I made these rad rainbow cupcakes. They were pretty time consuming and since somebody kept opening up the oven took a while to bake but well worth it I'd say.
