02/17

Sorry for my lack of posting it has been a crazy couple weeks. It has also been unbearably cold and I am a bit of a wuss so my apologies.
While my mum was away in sunny California a couple weeks ago I got into her fur closet, conveniently located in our basement and I found this gorgeous black number. I love how understated it is while still bringing an element of glamour to my winter outfits. Let's be honest around this time of year everything needs a bit more glamour.

Here are some fun selfies I took the past few weeks. Bathrooms are great for photo sessions I guess!

05/02

One thing I am definitely looking forward to wearing once the cold weather passes are chic and comfy silk pants. These were a birthday gift from the lovely Elizabeth Clark, but Zara has some amazing ones right that look just like pajamas - come one spring!

what you know

This week I welcomed this new black (obviously) Zara jacket to my rolling rack of outerwear. Now in my eyes this jacket added to my wardrobe what I thought I was missing and longing for, but it took a few friends today to remind me it looks just like my winter jacket. Crap. Well I guess I stick to what I know.

P.S. Aren't I pretty when I'm falling over?

california dreaming

So I have been having a major hat moment as of late. This black ASOS brimmed beauty is my go to chapeau. The reactions I got all week from people while wearing a brimmed hat was actually very amusing. If I wasn't getting a weird look of confusion, I was getting a snarky comment of some sort. My boss went between calling me Steven Tyler to warning me I am going to suffer from female hat baldness - is that a thing?
Word of advice though, do not wear a brimmed hat in a wind storm. You're welcome.
