Vanessa was the stylist in the first The Row video back in 2008 and that is when my crush started. Even though the video is 5 years old it is still so relavent and is the definition of "effortless chic".

I was lucky enough to have amazing seats at the Joe Fresh show which turned out to be my favorite and the most desired show to attend. The shoes were just too good - think Celine but at a much better price point.
I loved the turbans, sunnies and fruit printed purses at the SOIA&KYO show.
And finally the blue and yellow pantsuits at Arthur Mendonca make me wish I had a more executive profession. (But not actually;)
The backstage madness.

Day one of Toronto Fashion Week I wore this very colourful ensemble....minus the colour but add the bling. The only thing not boring about this outfit was the jacket from Zara. I get more compliments on this jacket than anything else I own.
I'm finding it hard to bust out my camera during and around the shows this time around as I keep feeling there is always someone to talk to or something to watch so my coverage so far has been lacking. I will try to get my sh@# together in that department though!
Here is a shot I found on the On The Fourth Floor Blog of my friend and amazing photographer Jaclyn Locke (credit for my header photo), her friend Magwood who owns a great vintage shop downtown (can't you tell by her amazing outfit) and moi.

Today I'm going tomboy casual with my usual heeled boots nowhere in my sight. Why do you ask? Because next week is Toronto Fashion Week and I know the phrase "my feet are killing me" is going to escape my lips more than enough. So today I'm enjoying being comfy and not over 6 feet in height.
Hope you all have a lovely saturday!

Cara Cheung S/S13
Sid Neigum S/S12
Thanks Holt Renfrews Tonya and Joseph for the photo bomb.
Day 2 of The Collections wrapped up today and it ended with a bang. It was a minimalists dream at the Sid Neigam show and a party girls wonderland at Cara Cheung. I'm not big on dresses or going out much these days but the dresses at Cara Cheung with their long flowing trains and leather detailing make me want to rethink that.
Next up a whole lot of fabulous when the big runway shows take place at David Pecaut Square!

Chloe Comme Parris S/S13
LABEL Clothing S/S13
Fashion week has finally hit Toronto and first up was The Collections.
Chloe Comme Parris killed it on day one! I pretty much want everything in the collection and I am having a major moment over that pink motorcycle jacket and the leather shorts. Swoon.

My mum and I went thrift shopping this past weekend and I have to say we both found a few sweet pieces. The first is this awesome silk jacket/blazer/kimono. Not really sure what to call it but I am obsessed with it and the best part is it was only $9.99! Another piece I am excited to show you guys is a rad vintage DKNY varsity jacket! Stay tuned.
Cue the thrifting song "I got twenty dollars in my pocket"...
